I was rushing around trying to get things done, and all I saw were tasks. I forgot to see the world through the eyes of my children. I was on the verge of taking what was a treat to them and turning it into a chore. What is 30 more seconds in the big picture? This little moment was a sweet reminder to find the pleasure in living.
This is why an escape plan is a must. Without a plan, it does not happen. There is always something I feel I must be doing. I even feel guilty when I do rest. My task driven nature is slightly upset if I am not checking something of my to do list. It is time to add rest to my list of things to do because it is a commandment.
I have made an amazing discovery: the world will not fall apart if I do not wash the dishes.
